PV5 Pont is a prefabricated waterproofing membrane made of APP-modified bitumen, specifically designed for the waterproofing of engineering structures, road bridges and structures subjected to high mechanical and hydrostatic stresses. Its reinforced design, 5 mm thick and dual-reinforced for high strength, combines a 100% polyester non-woven, which ensures excellent mechanical strength and very good dimensional stability, with a second glass fibre reinforcement, which contributes to its thermal stability. It thus offers mechanical and hydraulic performance superior to standard membranes, particularly in puncture resistance.
Both faces are coated with a heat-fusible HDPE film: the lower face allows reliable torch-applied installation on the substrate, while the upper face is designed to directly receive a bituminous surfacing, whether hot-mix asphalt or mastic asphalt. PV5 Pont is used on bridge decks, tunnels and cut-and-cover tunnels, parking structure slabs, retaining walls, hydraulic structures and retention basins, as well as on buried structures subjected to high hydrostatic pressures.
Installation is carried out on a clean, dry and stable substrate, in accordance with the professional rules applicable to engineering structures, with careful treatment of critical details. PV5 Pont holds favourable technical approvals from CETEC and Excell Control, available on request.
