Aluflex50 is a prefabricated waterproofing membrane made of APP-modified bitumen, designed for waterproofing systems exposed to solar radiation and severe climatic conditions. It is reinforced with a 100% polyester non-woven, which provides good mechanical strength and good dimensional stability. Its upper face, self-protected by an aluminium foil, offers lasting protection against ultraviolet radiation and climatic ageing, while its lower face, coated with a heat-fusible film, allows simple and fast torch-applied installation.
Thanks to its APP formulation and its aluminium protection, which promotes the reflection of solar radiation, Aluflex50 offers good high-temperature performance and is particularly suited to structures subjected to severe climatic stresses, especially in hot, strongly sunlit regions. It is used in new construction as well as in renovation, on accessible and non-accessible flat roofs, industrial and commercial buildings, technical terraces and all surfaces exposed to weathering, within multilayer bituminous waterproofing systems.
For optimal adhesion, installation is carried out on a clean, dry and stable substrate, with a suitable bituminous primer. Aluflex50 holds favourable technical approvals from CETEC and Excell Control, available on request.
