PV4 ALU is a prefabricated waterproofing membrane made of APP-modified bitumen, specifically designed for waterproofing systems exposed to solar radiation and severe climatic conditions. With its dual-reinforced design, it combines a 100% polyester non-woven, which ensures excellent mechanical strength, with a second glass fibre reinforcement, which enhances its thermal stability and resistance to temperature variations. Its upper face, self-protected by an aluminium foil, provides lasting protection against UV radiation and climatic ageing, while its lower face, coated with a heat-fusible film, allows simple and fast torch-applied installation.
Thanks to its dual-reinforced structure and its aluminium protection, which promotes the reflection of solar radiation, PV4 ALU offers excellent durability and very good resistance to severe climatic conditions, especially in hot, strongly sunlit regions. It is used in new construction as well as in renovation, on accessible and non-accessible flat roofs, industrial and commercial buildings, technical terraces and surfaces exposed to weathering, within multilayer bituminous waterproofing systems.
For optimal adhesion, installation is carried out on a clean, dry and stable substrate, with a suitable bituminous primer. PV4 ALU holds favourable technical approvals from CETEC and Excell Control, available on request.
